Uncharted 2: Among AMAZING!!!!!!!!

Slowly and slowly, Sony has been coming back as a force in the next gen console wars. Always there were Wii's selling all over the place and Xbox 360's flying off shelves for the "exclusives", Well my friends, PS3 has its own hero and he is back, Nathan Drake and not only is he back but he is giving a reason why those wii or 360 owners should cry. Uncharted 2: Among Thieves is a game brought to you by Sony and Naughty Dog productions. This third person action-adventure game feels like an amazing movie where your literally being in so close to the grips of death in every level. I loved the first one, so much that when I received both Uncharted and Assassin's Creed I was easily torn from the Creed and into the treasure hunting. I mean the original game, had amazing graphics for only coming out a year after PS3 did. Then not only was it good then, the new game is pretty much pure amazement. The sound is incredible, the graphics are ridiculously good, the storyline just gets better and better and much more.

You start off on a train that is hanging off a cliff and you are bleeding all over yourself. You start to climb up and you finally get to safe ground until your lifted into a flashback. As you play the game you start from how you got to the train and how you end up after. It has a begging, a middle and an end. Now not only does it offer you a movie like game, but it gives you game play that is just hard to top. Now you 360 fans and Wii fans are probably not gonna buy what I say, because you have your Halo and Smash Bro's but I am telling every single gamer our there, this game has probably the best graphics for a game this year. What really made this game was the amount of solid action scenes and the powerful story. You have new enemies, old and new friends, and some really weird people. You go from Borneo to Tibet. I mean this game had such good graphics that the creators stated that this game cold never play on a 360 because the amount of space on the game disc is all used up, all 25 gb's of blue ray!

Overall, Uncharted offered me more than just an amazing storyline, loads of extras, cool weapons, incredible cut scenes and even multi player! It game me the strength to have power in Sony, a system that should never be overlooked. The only issue I had with Uncharted was the one or two glitches here or there and one cut scene had graphics that weren't up to par to the others. So for my final rating, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves get 5X out of 5. Watch for this game to compete for game of the year with other top dogs. But if I had to choose a game of the year right now, it would be Uncharted 2. This game is out now and is exclusively for the PlayStation 3. One more thing, check out this PS3 commercial describing Uncharted 2 and how amazing it is, oh and its hilarious. -T

If God Made a Game This Would Be It

Call of Duty Modern Warfare 2 is out,it's here, and it is nothing short of amazing. Modern Warfare 2 nails the three pillars of play campaign, cooperative, and multiplayer to earn The top spot in first person shooters. I have actually never played a game this good. As one of the most critically acclaimed shooters of all time, Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is a prime example of a tough act to follow. Yet, amidst a raging storm of anticipation and expectation, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has done it. The new campaign is chock-full of intense action and dramatic moments. The campaign picks up where its predecessor left off, and there's a new violent ultranationalist terrorist on the scene. Once again, you play as a few different soldiers who are part of the effort to make the world a safer place.
Your missions take you around the world to a number of exotic locations and engage you in a variety of different conflicts, ranging from stealthy and silenced to crowded and cacophonous. The action is smooth and exhilarating, thanks to sharp shooting and movement mechanics that allow you to be as quick and deadly as your skills permit. The new Special Ops mode allows you to experience some campaign-inspired thrills with a friend and it's an engaging challenge to coordinate your maneuvers and tackle the varied objectives. Last but not least, the competitive multiplayer that took the online shooter community by storm two years ago is back and better than ever. Though the addictive action remains the same at its core, there are a host of new elements that make it more accessible, more strategic, and more rewarding. This all adds up to a thoroughly excellent package that is sure to thrill shooter fans and deprive them of sleep for months to come. Of course, you could completely ignore both the campaign and cooperative modes and be perfectly happy with Modern Warfare 2. The insanely addictive, intensely exciting multiplayer formula pioneered by Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare is in full effect here. The action is even faster and deadlier than the campaign, and killing enemies, accomplishing objectives, and completing challenges earn you experience points. These points increase your level and unlock new guns, new equipment, and new skill-boosting perks. You can design different classes to highlight different skills and then switch between them to adjust for the ebb and flow of battle. The core action remains largely the same, and folks who didn't enjoy it the first time around aren't likely to have a change of heart. But what was great about it two years ago is still great today, and there are a number of tweaks and additions that make Modern Warfare 2's multiplayer substantially different and more excellent than its predecessor.

The Good:
Intense, action-packed campaign, Engaging cooperative missions, Richer, deeper, more rewarding competitive multiplayer.

The Bad:
Campaign is a little short

Modern Warfare 2 get a 5 out of 5 for its wonderful visuals, great storyline, and the amazing mulitplayer.

A Night at the Symphony, well not exactly...

This past Sunday I had the a great opportunity to enjoy an experience that I really never knew nothing about. This even was called Video Games Live which was playing in New York City at the Beacon Theater. Now when I say I'm a gamer, I might not fall into the category that some of these fans were. After grabbing a bite at a local Burger joint my friend Ray Carsillo, (1050 ESPN, Geekstuffunlimited@blogspot.com and more) we were off to the symphony. As soon as you walk into the building, you knew you weren't there for a sit down and shut up and listen kind of show. The first thing I noticed was that Samas Aran (zero suit), Cloud from FF7 and more outrageous costumes were at the show with me. As I sat down shortly after some videos, they had a costume contest and this little Mario kid won for speaking with a Italian accent. I thought it was hilarious, since there were around six other Mario's. The real show finally began as composers Tommy Tallarico and Jack Wall came out introduced themselves as the creators of video games live and put on a pretty sick show.

They opened with Hideo Kojima introducing the music of Metal Gear Solid. As soon as that happened I was completely into the show. They had so much that I really don't want to ruin for anyone who might be interested in going to the show. But they even had Ralph Baer...RALPH BAER!!! The father of video games, via Skype to talk to the audience. Yeah, I'm a geek but anyone reading this is too. But with they had more with music from games like Final Fantasy 7, Kingdom Hearts, World of Warcraft, Diablo III (which isn't even out yet), Mass Effect, Halo, Super Mario Brothers, and more. Plus some pretty cool things in between. They said that they haven't had the same exact set list twice in a row. So the shows never stay the same which is even cooler. The show plays all over the place but only one show a city so if your interested check the local listings and see this show if you are a true blue gamer. For my final rating Video Games Live gets a 3.5X out of 5X.
