I like to start off this article by telling you something very important I learned from this game. Nanomachines are awesome! No, but seriously, I learned that even though this game that I'm reviewing wasn't on its best performance on my PC, but it was still a great game. This game is Crysis. There has been no computer that it could play on with it at its max graphics performance. Now I don't have a great PC for gaming so I played on Low graphic settings which was still looking like I was playing a game on the next gen consoles. Which was amazing! The details of the land was incredible. It was filled with colors and intricate details that made the environment one of the best parts of the game. The character detail wasn't that great on Low performance but I was playing on Low and it still looked good. So right off the bat of this review, if I was giving this game a review based on its graphics it would almost indefinably get 5 out of 5 X-Points. Crysis has over a million lines of code, 4GB of texture data, and 85,000 shades. Making it the most graphically demanding out for purchase.
Now this site isn't just about what the game looks like. Its about how the game feels and is it going to be enjoying to the player. The game takes place off with you skydiving over North Korea until you land. You are sent to end the North Korean from a secret project and to save hostages that they have taken. But with this sounding like a normal run and gun. You encounter a machine alien thing that rips up one of your teamates. So you are trying to discover what’s going on but with the help of nobody. The U.S. army doesn't let you know, your captain doesn't know and the Koreans have the slightest clue themselves. As you move on you face different challenges. You can be sneaky and cloak yourself. You can run around and take out your enemies with super speed. Or you can sneak up and use your strength power up and punch your enemies over a building. So you have many choices to kill your enemies. But a gun is usually a good choice. The amount of weapons at your disposal is a great part of this game. You can also customize every weapon except a rocket launcher. So the game is about what the player wants. You want a shotgun with a laser site and a sniper scope. Go right ahead. I don't know why I would do that but all I know is that you can and its sweet. Also you can play online vs. your friends with the same factors. So for my final review for this game, I give Crysis for the PC 4.5X points out of 5. Crysis came out November 7th, 2007 so go pick it up at your local game store.
