Happy New Year! Hope all our readers don't have to much of a pain in their heads to read our newest article. So to start off our New Year we have the game that I didn't think would ever exist but thanks to all our creative video game creators there is this game. It is called Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe. The Mortal Kombat series still lives on and I'm glad it does because I usually enjoy all the MK series games. But with a mix of DC characters? A twist that actually succeeded. I have been waiting along time to kick the crap out of alot of DC characters. I enjoy spearing The Flash and than setting him on fire while hitting him with a 3-Punch combo.
The game has two campaigns that are in the game are both similar. There is arcade mode of course and the all practical but most enjoying versus mode. With the new features like online mode and some other stuff. The story in the game has to deal with characters having rage problems and fighting each other. The two world are morphed together. There are new villains and hero's on both sides. But to know one's knowledge that it is controlled by DarkKohn. You can figure that out for yourself. What really made me mad was the fact that Quan Chi was in half the movies and you can't even play as him. Maybe he is a secret unlockable but I haven't seen or heard anything yet.
Now this game isn't amazing. There are some missing characters who should made the game. The roster is small. The unlockable items are measly. Graphic are good and so are the martial art moves. But it needs more. The game has 1/3 the characters that Mortal Kombat: Armaggedon had. The Mortal Kombat side is missing Kung Lao, Melina, Quan Chi, Reptile, and other characters. What about DC also. Three of there characters where from the Batman series. You need Green Arrow, Robin or Nightwing, some more villains of some sort. Maybe if they make another game it might actually have a large enough roster. For my final score I give Mortal Kombat vs DC Universe 3.5X points out of five. Its a good game but not close to crossovers like Capcom vs SNK and the amazing Marvel vs. Capcom series. But its still a good thought.
